Our cereal enterprise is an ever expanding area of the Strawson business. Major investment into low disturbance cultivation and drills has complimented our equipment armoury to become more flexible across a range of soil types as well as complementing our path towards reducing emissions. Utilising economies of scale has allowed us to expand our cereal enterprise, and is something we are actively looking to continue.

We grow a diverse range of combinable crops including wheat, barley, oilseed rape, oats, rye, spelt, and maize.

Cover cropping has become a fundamental part of our crop rotation to reduce soil movement and retaining organic matter and nutrition. In the right conditions, the option of direct drilling has allowed us to become more sustainable in our farming practice.
